(Peebles, OH) During the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis, IN, officials with the United Midwest Promoters (UMP) Sanctioning body for Modifieds announced a new set of 8″ tire combinations for competition beginning in 2017. The new M-30S and M-60 tires will replace the A-40S and H-40 as the only tires legal for UMP Modified Competition after March 1st, 2017.
The Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, OH has not been UMP Sanctioned since the early 2010’s however has been following UMP Rules ever since. The following is a statement from Promoter Steven Partin on the tracks reaction to the 2017 UMP Modified Tire Rules:
The new rules will come into play beginning with the first race of the 2017 Season, May 6th. On May 6th, fans will see a full show of Modifieds, Sport Mods, Legend Cars, a 100 Lap enduro and a Fireworks show! Make plans now to get the season started off right at BMC.
